I have been made aware that I should clarify the statement I made in the video. To elaborate, I was merely trying to shine light on a matter most of us are interested in: product information, by presenting the findings I discovered and the speculation I arrived at, which is my own opinion/speculation and is not to be misconstrued as proven facts at this time. I was made aware that my wording may have come across as such which I wanted to clear up with this comment. As already stated in the video, I will still be buying Shinhan products.

So, professional means not professional. Makes perfect sense 🙂 Thanks for everyone's research efforts over the naming, and compositions.

Hi, Vee! Thank you very much for this video. While I'm disappointed that my go-to phthalo turquoise paint has been multi-pigmented all along, this video has given me a sense of vindication when it comes to the other colours from ShinHan like their Permanent Red and Cobalt Blue Hue. It doesn't seem like it was stated on the SWC chart too, but ShinHan's Pyrrole Red does have a neon dye added to it! I'm glad their Quinacridone Red seems to be truly single pigment since they're my go-to rose.

As for the Greenish Yellow, the NA could be PY128 which is listed on Prima's Art Philosophy Greenish Yellow (which are relabelled ShinHan paints).

Thank you for making this video! I've just got my mystery solved with PWC Sap Green and Hookers Green. Some time ago I got a green made out of PG8 as a gift and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, the set is from another country and is not available where I live. I could not find any other brand here in Canada that makes any of their greens from just PG8 until I stumbled across PWC. Both their Sap and Hookers green listed as just PG8, so I got them both. Needless to say, I ended up disappointed. Neither looked like that original PG8 I wanted. Long and behold, after coming across your video, I check the Korean website and what would you know, there it says that both are made with PG8 & PG7.
This is just a dishonest practice. I will not be buying anymore of their product. I don't think it should be my responsibility to check different charts to make sure I have the right pigment information, especially when it contradicts what they have on their packaging. They just lost my trust.

Thank you for creating this video. The link to SWC new chart is unfortunately dead, would you please update it?

I remember hearing somewhere that the SWC range is the student brand that’s why there is so many mixes and the PWC range is the professional line, hence the more singular colours, although this seems to raise a lot of questions

I've bought both terra verte Green shade and terra verte yellow shade from PWC and tested them. They are not lightfast. Both have faded into something muddy grey.

Could it be that the culture of having unique domestic items is at play? I visited some friends in South Korea a long time ago and I'm pretty sure one of them said it was either custom or law that local businesses (even if they're a multinational entity) have items unique to South Korea. For example, he made a big deal about taking me to a Starbucks because they had some unique items one can't get anywhere else in the world. We also had a bulgogi burger at MacDonald's which was fantastic... Not an adjective I'd use for anything related to MacDonald's usually.
