That is the very first mod I did for my TRX4 even though my TRX has 1.9 inch tyres. It's actually still too fast for my liking, but it is better than the standard 11T pinion.

I noticed that trx4 wouldn’t speed up properly, it went a certain speed then speeds up. I took the motor off and noticed that the spur gear is completely ruined. Would that be the reason it’s loud with like a clicking noise and does not speed up?

Richie I haven’t ran my trx4 yet but I put the bigger 2.2 tires on it, so it’s still got the stock pinion on it, I don’t know if it gets hot cus I’ve never ran it, but if it does I’ve got a 9 tooth pinion too n I’ll have to swap the pinion if it gets hot. Thx for sharing this brotha 👍😎
