Aviators - Lights (Feat. Feather)

Finally, at long last! The second single from my upcoming album, From All Sides, is here. It's a love song, and quite a bit different than the last single, "Constellations". It's a love song, featuring the amazingly talented singer and artist Feather. I've had many people asking me to collaborate with her, so here it is! And hopefully it won't be our last join effort. ;) Also, this is indeed a pony-inspired song (Soarin' and Spitfire OTP!) but it's got room for everyone to find their own meaning in it.

A release date for From All Sides will be announced over the next couple weeks.

People judge Bronies and Pegasisters because we watch a show about ponies. MlP isn't what our fan base is about. For us, Ponies are just a symbol to the beautiful emotions in the show. Songs like this represent why I'm a Brony. Aviators, Feather, thank you for making this :) /)

As with all of the From All Sides songs, they're inspired by ponies but not necessarily about them. Kind of like how a story can be inspired by someone, but not be the story of their life. This song was visualized by both Feather and I as a song between Spitfire and Soarin', so in that regard it is pony related. The lyrics are free of direct references however, and the subject is vague enough for the listener to interpret it in many ways. That's the way I like music; with room to find meaning.

To Feather: I am so proud of you! You have no idea! I remember when I first found your Hey Big Mac song some time ago, and I really loved your voice and really loved your guts for putting yourself out there. I hoped you would continue to sing more songs, both originals and covers. And you did!

I will say, this song in my darkest of times was the song that helped me out the most. All of the other songs I was listening to while in my little rut, were all about spite, hate, betrayal. But that was only making me feel worse deep inside. This song on the other hand, is about a helping hand, love... And this song was there when I thought I was alone, but it only showed me who my real friends were, and they were there the whole time, even when I was blinded.
