I heard this song in the HBO production of Elena Ferrante's My Brilliant Friend and went looking for it on YouTube, leading me to uncover this treasured performance by Mina and her band, along with a cast of off-the-wall extras. I love everything about this. Mina's voice, expressions, her vivacious Italian femininity, her moves, the simple rocking swing rhythm, great musicians, nobody trying to show off - just supporting this fabulous singer. And Chet Baker in the tub! Turns out this is a clip from a movie called Urlatori Alla Sbarra.

Baby boomers and us kids from the 1960's. Everyone pretty much got along. A time where you could still trust most people; because most people believed in God, Jesus, Bible scripture, having morals, going to church and being kind to your neighbor.
