VW Grand California 600 (VW Crafter) Night POV Drive with Standard Halogen Headlights + Acceleration

Something a bit different today - we're testing out the standard halogen headlights / headlamps on this VW Grand California 600 (which is based on a VW Crafter), to see how good they are. We do a few acceleration runs to see the performance of the 177hp 8 speed automatic drive train too.

Hope you enjoy - and then buy the LED headlight option if you possibly can!!

Keep a look out for our other new videos coming to the channel soon and a *BIG* thank you to all of our wonderful subscribers - we have been blown away by how many of you are now following what we are doing. We can’t wait to share more content with you.

Take care, sit back and grab yourself some California Time !

We have LED Headlights on our Crafter Hopton, not driven in the dark as yet but as you say do look good with the DRL on 👍

Super, comprehensive POV. Feel confident it was a "true" view for which I thank you enormously. A damn good idea. Thank you. All the best to the three of you! With love, Pam

I’m a delivery driver and spend all day in a MAN TGE and I can attest to how poor the standard headlights are, no sooner have they lit up the road and the next corner sneaks up on you. I also agree to how easy they are to thread along sweeping windey corners but I think the Grand Cali must have a more economical engine because I can’t get my MPG above 18-19 🤣 in all seriousness though the seats do genuinely become a little uncomfortable after a while and the standard radio has appalling quality reception which drops out so often that I plug my phone in. Whilst still being serious the Bluetooth hands free phone calls are also appalling so if you have the option to upgrade the radio from whatever is standard then do it. Whilst I’m still here and being deadly serious when the ad blue system tells you the min and max quantities to put in DO NOT DEVIATE i have had to have my ad blue system reset so many times which takes ages so always always ALWAYS obey how much it tells you to put in. If it asks for 9 ltrs and you have a 10 LTR barrel do not be fooled into thinking “it’s only 1 litre, what difference will it make” It does trust me

Love the LED's on my Cali Coast. Self levelling, bright white and better distance illumination. Plus don't need to worry about the directionality when travelling abroad. Well worth the extra cost.

Another accurate review.
If you want the ambient footwell lighting it's been established that it's the "Step Lighting" on the configurator so cheap to add.
Your MPG looks about right, bimbling around the Isle of Arran at about 50mph we achieved our best ever of 37.5mpg. Motorways at 70-75 was 27.5mpg at 80 it was down to 22mpg

Thanks, Will, another great video. We're pleased with our factory fitted LED headlights on our T6.1conversion. Looking forward to seeing all three of you together on screen soon. Cheers J, C and B xxx

This is why I order factory LED head lights on my t6.1, I also fitted Lazer lamps for the front grill, plus a 52 in curved led light bar on the roof .
