Virginia House and Senate negotiators have reached a budget deal -- and it includes a nice deal for your wallet.
In a press release - lawmakers from both sides of the aisle say they plan to wrap up final touches on a budget that will provide "additional tax relief, unprecedented investments in education, natural resources, and behavioral health."
The deal includes a one-time tax rebate of $200 for singles and $400 for joint filers.
The budget also reinstates the sales tax holiday many Virginians missed this month.
Lawmakers say they're happy to have come up with a fair and balanced budget in an often decisive world of politics.
