“Hi Brad. You know how cute I always thought you were.”

I would like to thank The Cars, Amy Heckerling and especially Phoebe Cates for one of the great moments of my childhood.

This album should be immortalised in the rock and roll hall of fame. Masterpiece. It's my favourite of all-time, I love Electric light orchestra, Queen, The Jam, Clash, Beatles, Eagles, Et Al all. This indeed is the Rembrandt of the rock genre.

They definitely threw the proverbial wrench into the 70's and made one hell of an impact.

i saw them in Boston, 1977. It was their signing party with Elektra at a small club... this was before they released the first album. BLOWN AWAY!

I remember folding a matchbook in half, sticking it in the 8-Track player to keep the 8-track cartridge steady so the tracks wouldn't play over each other. That I do not miss.

Bye bye love, Moving In Stereo, and Drive are at the very top of my favorite top ten songs that Cars have ever done. Oh heck, every album was good, even the ones I havent heard yet lol.

Ben Orr is so much of this song! That bass line, though simple, is simply sick! Ben is like 80% of what this song is!

RIP Ric Ocasek. The first time I heard your music in a record shop back in the 70's in Citrus Heights CA, I loved it.

Life's the same I'm moving in stereo
Life's the same except for my shoes
Life's the same you're shakin' like tremolo
Life's the same it's all inside you
It's so easy to blow up your problems
It's so easy to play up your breakdown
It's so easy to fly through the window
It's so easy to fool with the sound
It's so tough to get up
It's so tough
It's so tough to live up
It's so tough on you
Life's the same I'm moving in stereo
Life's the same except for my shoes
Life's the same you're shakin' like tremolo
Life's the same it's all inside you
Life's the same I'm moving in stereo
Life's the same except for my shoes
Life's the same you're shakin' like tremolo
Life's the same it's all inside you
