Pennoni is a multidisciplinary engineering firm. We approach the start of every project as the beginning of collaboration because we understand the
value of partnerships. Pennoni thrives on innovation, and it's important for us to constantly have our finger on the pulse and find out what those innovative techniques are.

One of the biggest challenges for us thus far has been a collaboration with the vertical design teams. We have a lot of data in all of our designs, so it's important to get the right pieces of data to the right team members and the right project stakeholders as quickly as possible.

Recently, we have been involved with collaboration for Civil 3D. Civil 3D's 2020.2 update, which gives you access to the BIM 360 interface, is the collaboration and coordination effort for Civil users so that now we can join the multidiscipline within BIM 360.

I think the greatest benefit for Pennoni is truly that the ability to collaborate and coordinate with the multidiscipline within one platform, and to be able to access it remotely with any user
at any location. If the architect or the structural engineer has a design change that will affect the horizontal space, we can accurately see that in real-time.

Getting started with BIM 360 for Civil has been a wonderful experience. Autodesk's collaboration for Civil 3D not only benefits civil engineers, it benefits all project stakeholders
because it allows us to share all of our design data immediately.

We face challenges on every project and it's important for us and our clients that we face those challenges efficiently and effectively. The collaboration of Civil 3D allowed our horizontal design teams to connect with all project stakeholders, and that has made a monumental impact on making the right decisions for our partners during vital moments of the project life cycle.
