Some of you are ridiculous. She pulled her weapon and barricaded herself, prepared to defend herself, her kids, and everyone else in the room... Which is exactly what I'd want my wife, daughter, or mother to SURVIVE and protect your family and those barricades with you.
You expect this woman/nurse/mother to go full call of duty and grunt walk through the fking mall, hunting for the shooter, abandoning her kids?? NO. She did exactly what she should have done.

I once had a nurse stand between me and an irate patient in an ER waiting room. I didn’t realize at the time that she was positioning herself to protect me so I never got a chance to thank her. So I’m going to throw it out to the universe… nurse from the Kennestone ER thank you so much!!!! The mother of four and nurse did exactly the right thing. Had she gone out the police might have mistakenly shot the mother.

As a father, grandfather and military veteran from many years ago, as a child i was taught that i should defend weaker people, vunerable people or people being bullied, as an adult and soldier i was told, protect the elderly, young, vunerable and helpless, physically place yourself between the danger and the ones in danger and give them as much protection as you possibly can.
She did exactly the same thing.

A lot of idiots talking big game. I’d rather have a gun and survive, protecting my family than not having one at all. Regardless of the outcome, her priority was her family, and that should be commended. None of this, “oH sHe HaD a GuN, wHy DiDnT sHe StOp ThEm?” Not everyone is a federal agent or trained officer. Her job wasn’t to take out the shooter, it was protecting her family, and it baffles me that people would think differently. It just goes to show some people have too much time on their hands to fret over the objectively good intentions of others, and still find a way to complain. Thank God she and her daughters are safe.

I already worship my mom for being such a fierce protector of me, and now that I’m an adult I have the same power to protect her as she’s done for me. But to see how sweet that baby girl was being to her mom was so heartwarming - daughters really do have the closest bond with their moms

Everybody always talks about us good gun owners after mass shootings but nobody ever sees that THIS is what we do... without them only the bad guys would have em... make it make sense... a nurse too, already a job caring for others, she cried thinking about being ready to protect anyone... she has a heart of gold

She became the first line of defense for her children and those locked in with them. She did what she was supposed to do. Remove those you love out of harm’s way and prepare to protect. Every mother’s worse nightmare but one we are willing to face to protect our children. As a mother you first stand in front of your children to protect them. You then stand beside them as support. Finally you stand behind them as they reach adulthood.

I can't believe the comments are about the woman carrying a gun into the mall and NOT on the actual shooter. These folks scare the F out of me. Their brains are so twisted and sick.
