So pointless sharing this. As what are you sharing. The fact you get free electric at work. Its like saying. I have a 5.0 Mustang and work at BP so get free fuel so my car costs me $.0 to drive around.

10k miles in a Tesla, or ONE gas tank fill-up in California. Kinda mind-blowing!

Same here. When working as a Corporate Chef, I only spent $50 a month for groceries.

This is equivalent to a teenager telling everyone how much it cost them to drive a car when their parents pay for the fuel

Here, in my appartment. If yiu wish to have a parking with supercharging, you have to pay extra 60$ per month. So it's 180$ per month, instead of 120$ for a normal parking without a charging station. Btw, i live in Switzerland, where also breathing costs you.

Its cheap but the cost of buying that car alone is 4x what I will ever spend on cars, fuel, insurance, parts, testing and labour combined. I drive less than 5k miles a year on average but if you're doing much more then it may be cost effective. Really not concerned with the pollution from a 1.5dci either.

For anyone who wants a breakdown for the average person for 10000 Miles of charging

Approx £925 in the UK if you charge from home.

Model S is reported to have 300 miles range but let’s say it has approximately 200 miles.

10, 000/200 = 50
£18.50 for a full charge based on an 18p/kWh price (£10-14 if you charge only at night).
£18.50 * 50 = £925

Compared to an average of £1772 for a car with average fuel economy for a new car.

Plus the added convenience of not needing to go to a petrol station

It’s nice to see someone not shoving in everyone else’s face that a Tesla is better, but actually breaking down the expenses.

Dang that's crazy. I hope this video is helpful for the people that have rich friends that are thinking of getting tesla's and for the people that have chargers for free at their work places. Thanks for the great info! Thank you, thank you. So helpful 🙄

All the haters, this guy is normal just explaining his reasoning and proof behind Tesla being cheaper in the long-run. He isn’t the “omg my Tesla is amazing look look” Guy. Appreciate the content dude

Since we are being stupid.
I have a fuel card for work and have driven over 200, 000 miles so far and it has cost me nothing.

For everyone arguing in the comments...He said " Here is what it cost to charge MY car for 10, 000 miles"..Not what it will cost to charge your car for 10, 000 miles

I have a Ford Fiesta 5sp manual! Paid for and have to fill it twice a month for about $40.

Even if it’s cheaper, I would still drive my V8
