Gods Of Thunder Of Wind And Of Rain - Bathory - Metal Cover ⛈️🎶🎸🎤

Blood on Ice [1] might be one of the most important Bathory [2] albums ever done. Recorded on 1989 and Remastered and Released on 1996, it's a concept album that evolves around a novella storyline of a character that loses his family to a twin headed beast and after a series of adventures gains enough power to fight back and rescue the souls trapped in Hel by the beast.
The history it's heavily influenced by Norse mythology [3] and it's the first fully viking metal album from Bathory, even it was released long after Hammerheart.
Quorthon didn't released directly after recording it both because the album was never properly finished, and because founder and songwriter Quorthon [4] was worried that it presented too drastic a departure from the band's previous black metal [5] sound.
As a great fan of Bathory couldn't let pass this album 25th anniversary, and so I did this cover of Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain, maybe the fastest paced song of the album... Because I started too late and some technical difficulties, I wasn't able to properly record the solo and the video it's somewhat "cheap" for what I would want for a Bathory cover, still I hope you enjoy it!
The video includes images from the Butterfly Effect Series - Vikings Assault on the Frankish Empire and the Nova's Lost Viking Army, both amazing documentaries, go check these!
Rhythm and main guitar 🎸, bass 🎸 and vocals 🎙️ performed, the rest comes from the MIDI edition 🎚️🎛️🎶.

Blood on Ice [1] puede ser uno de los álbumes más importantes de Bathory [2] jamás grabados. Grabado en 1989 y remasterizado y publicado en 1996, es un concept álbum que gira entorno a la historia de un personaje que pierde su familia a manos de una bestia de dos cabezas y, después de una serie de aventuras, consigue el suficiente poder para enfrentarse a ella y liberar las almas atrapadas en Hel por la bestia, después de derrotarla.
La historia está muy influenciada por la mitología nórdica [3] y es, probablemente, el primer álbum puramente Viking Metal a pesar de ser publicado mucho más tarde que Hammerheart.
Quorthon no publicó el álbum después de grabarlo en parte porque Quorthon [4] no lo creía acabado como era debido y porque pensó que se alejaba demasiado del sonido mas black metal [5] original de la banda.
Como gran fan de Bathory no podía dejar pasar el 25 aniversario de este disco y por eso he grabado esta cover de Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain, la pista más rápida del disco... De todos modos, en parte porque empecé muy tarde a grabar y en parte por algunas dificultades técnicas, no pude grabar el solo como es debido y el video es quizás un poco más "pobre" de lo que merecería este temazo de Bathory, igualmente espero lo disfrutéis!
