I really like this cover. They changed it from 'cry forever' to 'pissed of and totally want to punch someone.' In my opinion anyway. Good job.

I've been a Green Day fan for 17 years and I see so many but hurt Green Day fans in the comments section! Aren't you all forgetting that Green Day covered My Generation by The Who?

I think comparing this to the original is kinda unncessary, this cover's job was to put Neck Deep's own sound on it and they did.
Its a different version and its modern pop punk, and It works.
The original and This cover are equal in pure awesomeness

Many people don't understand the meaning behind a cover. This isn't a copy people and it isn't their intention to sound like the original. It's an interpretation made with an unique twist. In which they succeeded!

This is an actual cover. They took the song and made it their own, but they left enough of the original to let it hold true. Great cover!

they took the song and made it their own, which in my opinion is what they should've done. I didn't want another green day song, I wanted a different take on a green day song

I'm glad these guys gave it their own spin.If I wanted to hear the original, I'd go grab my American Idiot CD and listen to BOBD. Too many bands just play the song note for note and don't make it their own.

Im a HUGE Green Day fan, and I think this is a really kick ass cover, is good. There's no need to compare to Green Day, Neck Deep has their own style, so Green Day. Just enjoy!

This is the perfect definition of a cover song. This is how NECK DEEP would play BOBD if it was their own song. Not just a beat-for-beat, sound-for-sound musical photocopy. Love this! Sounds amazing with the gallop-beat for the first bit.

Of fucking course it won't be better than the original... It's the fucking original. The point of covers is you get the ability to put your own spin on it..

They fuckin' nailed the chorus, the rest wasn't as good, but it wasn't bad

Stop with all the hating and bragging that this is better than the original. If you like the original why do you even bother to waste your time watching this video and I love neck deep and their music. This is their suitable version as it matches the genre they're playing and how can someone dislike this when you love 90's pop punk / punk rock. This is band is the perfect combination of so called melodic pop punk

Just found this cover and it so AMAZING! They played this song in their own way without hiding out the original sensation. Well, I like it~ ❤

The point of doing a cover of a song is not to make it sound better than the original. You have to put your own spin on it and that's what Neck Deep did! I think this song turned out great and very unique. These guys did a great job!

For the people hating on this generations pop punk you need to realize for every generation the music evolves. Mid 80s-early 2000s compared to this is totally different but that's because it's evolved. You can hear a lot of things that have been incorporated from pop punks previous predecessors. It's the same with every music genre. Look at hip hop for example or heavy metal now. It's the artists who take influence from amazing artists before them and change it up and that's how the music evolves. Music changes.
