There's been a sharp rise in undocumented West African migrants trying to reach Europe.
So far this year, at least 5,000 people have died trying to reach Spain by sea.
But despite the dangers, many continue to make the crossing in the hopes of a better life.

Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports from Kartong, in The Gambia.

We Need Your Helpl

Bangladeshi students are peacefully protesting for quota reform, but we are facing brutal attacks from the Student League, a government organization. More than thousand of students have been injured, and many lives have been lost. The media in our country, aligned with the government, is not reporting on this issue. Seeking freedom has now become a crime for us.
