Colt Clark and the Quarantine Kids play 'American Woman'

We hope everyone had a great Independence Day! We enjoyed watching fireworks with family and eating delicious barbeque. We thought for tonight's song we'd flip the script and perform a Canadian rock band’s song for you. Our old pal, Randy Bachman, came up with this riff in a matter of minutes on stage at a show while changing a string and tuning it back up. The rest of the band joined in for an impromptu jam and Burton Cummings sang some throw away lyrics that stuck. The song became a number one hit. Hope this barn burner gets your weekend started off on the right foot. This is Colt Clark and The Quarantine Kids playing "American Woman" by The Guess Who.

Hello everyone! We're the Clark family. Colt (the dad) is a professional musician and Aubree (me, the mom behind the camera) is a photographer. Together we home school our three children. To keep busy during the shutdown we started learning and recording a new song every other day to share with our friends and family. We love playing music and spending time together as a family. NAILED IT. Cash in particular a) nailed the fuzz tone, b) nailed the bends and c) nailed the vibrato. It takes many guitar players years to master that. I keep imagining all three kids growing up and each starting their OWN bands... and instantly tripling the number of awesome young bands out there. SMILE

I can't believe how quickly Bellamy is growing up! Hold her close, she won't be a baby very long! I love the talent, love the music, love the kids! I'm a hack on drums, keyboard, and guitar and I am so impressed and jealous with these kids. Well done mom and dad, well done kiddos! IMO, every child should be highly encouraged to learn an instrument. That song, as sung by "The Guess Who" was my favorite song as a teenager.

I've been watching them from the beginning; when they were a charming family enterprise. But they've all grown so much as musicians, they've become a truly legit rock band. As a former musician myself, I appreciate all of the hard work that's required. Where will these talented kids be 10-20 years from now? Even if they choose a different path, they've already learned that discipline, focus, and teamwork breeds success.

Total all-around performance. Cash rocking that guitar, Beckett keeping the beat, Bellamy playing a more complicated bass line than I've seen her do, and Colt's vocals just spot on. No wonder Burton Cummings was wowed!
