If you have recently tried to make your Reddit post history private and found out it is still impossible in 2022. This article will show you the only viable way to avoid other users from viewing your posts and comments that are entirely public. Sadly this process will delete your entire post and comment history, but it is highly automated so it won’t take you decades to delete everything.

(Reddit has been removing any extensions with the name Reddit in them.).
Just use Microsoft Edge for the process and go back to your old browser afterwards.
This is the only solution until the creator re-uploads the extension to the Chromium web store with a new name.

if you have a lot of comments and posts then you will have to run the extension several times to clear your reddit. It took me probably 6 iterations to clear my whole reddit which is only a year old

lmao the edge extension is working for me but it only will delete a small amount at a time so im just doing it over and over again

I was able to add the extension but when trying to use the extension it was completely grayed out, unusable.

Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to create and upload this. I just have a question… So I’m wondering, after doing the process shown in your video, for example: if you were not signed into your account that you nuked all your comments on (or perhaps were looking on Reddit with a friend from their account), and went back to a thread that you had previously commented on, that was just supposed to be nuked, would your comments actually be completely gone, removed, vanished entirely from the POV of all Reddit users, even if other people had replied to your comments that you nuked? Or would your comments still be there, but just say [deleted] next to your username?

I ask bc it is my understanding that if you *delete* your comments the normal way through Reddit, particularly if people replied to them, that they don’t actually delete. What happens is exactly what I mentioned above, where it just says *[deleted]* next to your username with the *deleted comment* still written below.

So I am wondering if this process with your nuke browser extension is a work around for that, to actually and visibly remove any and all comments, regardless of whether others have replied or not? Apologies for being long-winded. Thanks again for your help and input on this. Take good care 🙂
