It's been quite a while since the last Deltarune relaase, and it feels as if Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4 are imminent. For quite a while, I've wanted to make a video like this- a massive video that discusses everything I think is happening with Gaster, the Metanarrative, Kris, and more. This video won't go into too many details, the point is to identify what story the game is telling and why that story is important. Q: What exactly is this video? It’s not really a theory, and it talks about a lot of stuff we already know about.

A: This video is everything I think Deltarune is doing story-wise from beginning to end. Yeah, that includes recapping and recontextualizing stuff we already know. This isn’t a big “you’ll never guess… what’ll happen next…” type theory. I want to be able to look back at this when the game is out and say “wow I was very much generally correct” or “wow I was really wrong.” Making a theory that’s too specific and too broad would be based primarily on speculation alone and would instantly be shot down. I don’t know, I hope you like it.

Q: What took so long?

A: Yeah sorry, as I explain in the end, I had a few early drafts that took a while and didn’t sound any good, then life got in the way and stopped me from working on it for a while. There won’t be another four month break in between videos LOL.

It's very nice to see a video analyzing the narrative of DELTARUNE! Many theorists and Deltatubers ask "How?" but you're the one that consistently asks "Why?" even if the video is heavy on speculation, which is great in my opinion. Good job on the video!

This is really well written and offers a lot of interesting potential for how things could go in the future. Even if it's wrong, this will still be fun to look back on as a piece of fanfiction, and I think that's the sign of a good theory video. As long as it can tell a good story then the theory was worth considering.

This theory also has some parallels to WandyDoodles' Oblivion Theory. Idk if you know about that theory and kept the information about it in mind when writing yours, but if not I really recommend checking it out. It differs in a few big ways from what you've written here(mainly on Kris Knight but WandyDoodles provides a compelling alternative candidate), but the stuff you have to say about Gaster and the comparison between the Darkners being subservient to Lightners while the Lightners are written into their own roles for our entertainment is very similar to Oblivion Theory.
