Back in the 70s, when the first Fiesta left the factory gates in Spain, where Henry Ford II chose its name. After seven generations, 47 years of production and 22 million Fiesta vehicles sold worldwide, Ford is ending the Fiesta era in 2023. So let's go through the evolution of the Ford Fiesta legend over time.

Ford first unveiled the Fiesta Mk 1 in 1975. It was a small, three-door car that was cheap to buy and cheap to drive. The latest model and the last model in this series, is the FORD FIESTA Mk8 FACELIFT launched in 2022.

Nice video! Really a shame that they’re gonna stop making it.

My 5th grade teacher had a bright yellow one in the early 80’s as I remembered. I was 10 years old in helping her to carry something towards her car. In the early 90’s a classmate had a white one. I rode it in couple times when I was in junior college. I saw one on the showroom floor at my local Ford dealership that was in 2011. I did looked under the hood and even tried to get inside of the vehicle. It was just too small for me. I had a 2005 Ford Focus ZX5 SES when I saw that car. It kind of looked liked a smaller sized of the Focus. Now I drive a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. I thought that little car has been dropped over the years. I liked the Ford Escort during the 90’s.

Did you purposely forget about all the sporty Fiestas?

8 generations, not 7. The current model is the 8.5. Painful pronunciations.
