Just did the math. If you spend 3 hr/day 5 days a week on real estate related business and log it you make over 750 in a year. I feel like that is easily done if you add the time spent scouting new properties online and in person, plus the time spent dealing with either your properties or property managers, plus the time spent calculating monthly expenses and organizing your funds for future and current properties. Drive time and time talking to clients/employees/hired labor is already an easy make on those hours.

And this is why they hired 81, 000 IRS agents. For the Loopholes.

And this is why people can't afford a home. Everyone buying homes to rent them as Airbnbs.

And now there's a SFH housing shortage. Making people renters, instead of owners.

What he fails to tell you is that positive net income is subject to self-employment tax at 15.3% on top of your ordinary incomes (w-2) tax rates.

If you can tolerate the headaches that can come along with real estate management then this is a great way to reduce your taxes.

Am I the only one who sees how absurd, criminal and destructive this is.... no I don't mean the loop hole itself. I mean the need to try and learn how to "legally" keep the government from robbing you?!

Not true for every state. That is why there are different real estate license for every state. Wyoming is very land lord friendly.

I was a landlord for 8 years and I have no idea what they're talking about. What hours do you have to log, and what happens if you don't?

Good for YOUR bottom line, temporarily at least, but what about families and elders who are being priced out of housing? What happens to your short-term rentals when the economy collapses to the point that no one can afford them? You will take a big loss!

I love learning from peers who look like me. He inspires me to take an accounting class

I think I follow what he's saying, but mostly what I'm hearing. Is a bunch of rich people are buying up and purposefully taking losses on real estate and driving up real estate costs for normal people. So they can get a tax deduction from AirB&B's. Rather than letting people live there full time.
Be well.

Imagine having a channel full of content that helps educate & empower underprivileged small business entrepreneurs & then in the same breath promoting exploitative immoral industries that directly contribute to why people like me are homeless. Everyone loves a homeless entrepreneur once we're a success story, but unless we're convenient to tokenize as inspiration prn, you're happy to play games behind the scenes that _literally kill us._ I'm grateful this short was promoted to me because now I clearly see that you don't actually want safety, let alone success, for any of us who watch your content unless we're already in the "rich enough to step on others" club. Otherwise how could you farm us for views, if you didn't keep us strung along on a little hopefulness while still helping keep an economic boot firmly on our backs so we can't wriggle away?

Thanks for all the useful LLC information. When I'm wealthy I'll be putting a lot of work into making sure the system stops coddling & feeding the greed of people like you.

I thought that if you were a full-time W2 employee, it automatically disqualifies you of becoming a real estate professional?
