SIMPLYFOOD Software – “Warehouse Location Bin Functionality – SimplyFood powered by Acumatica." Acumatica knows that many food businesses fulfill inventory from multiple warehouses and each warehouse has its own unique set of descriptions and rules. The first screen shows an example of a multiple-warehouse setup. We select “Retail Warehouse” for the video demo shown.
In “Inventory” under “Warehouses,” you can review each of your warehouse’s settings and make changes as needed. There is also an option to allow others in your company to set up other Warehouse locations (intentionally or accidentally), and these can be controlled by management who sets up each warehouse location. In this instance, Management may choose “Allow On-the-Fly Entry” or “Do Not Allow On-the-Fly Entry” or “Warn But Allow On-theFly Entry.” Bin locations are configured for each Warehouse and rules for each bin location would be applied.

In our example, we have a bin for “Returns” in our “Retail Warehouse.” For the “Returns area” Bin, we have unchecked “Sales Allowed” because we would not want to sell returned and possibly damaged items.

AVAILABILITY CALCULATION RULES – Acumatica knows that while every item needs to be inventoried, each item category will have unique rules. In this video, we demonstrate how you can see and manage all availability calculation rules in one location. For instance, “HomeGarden” will have different rules than “ToysBaby.” Naturally, this would be programmed to your food company, but we often use a generic template for our demos for customer privacy. In the food business, if we were selling “freshcookies” and “flour” for example, we could have very different rules.

In our example, we look at the “Consumer” rule for which availability will be based on “Calculation Rules” -- these are set by your company. A company owner or manager, or whoever has permission, can create inventory rules such as “Deduct Qty. on Back Orders” or “Deduct Qty. on Sales Orders” or “Include Qty. on Receipts” -- and there are many more options!

SimplyFood can make inventorying all of your ingredients, products, and ingredients more accurate than you ever imagined. When you sell or move any item, the Acumatica system will automatically account for those sales or product movements whether internally between warehouses or externally to the customer.
