If you're buying a fixer, ALWAYS go to the lot and inspect before you bid. I got burned on this once - never again.

That’s why you only buy insurance cars and not cars from resellers. It’s pretty much common sense unless you can inspect it or have it inspected first.

never ever buy one unless its listed by an insurance company...or get burned...the most important thing to learn.

And the gun in the glove box?
You're so casual about it.

Hey Rusty. Just found your videos today. Your doing a great job brother. Keep doing the brilliant work you do. I'm off to binge on your videos .
P.s: Heard from several Copart buyers that they've seen a number of cut and shunt cars up for auction over the past 3-4 years. Those cars can be seriously dangerous there is one point at when fixing the car goes a bit too far. But when the car can become a cause of a fatal wreak because of ridiculous so called repairs. Those cars need to be pulled from auction and crushed immediately not left for some unsuspecting buyer who thinks they've got a good deal. And wreck it 5 mins after they get it home . Copart need to take some responsibility for the cars their auctioning .

Copart is a pile of s-hit auction, i been buying builders for over 35 years. Copart is so F'd up. but they are cornering the industry. IaaI is by far the best place.

I don’t like how the pictures don’t show the actual damage/issues... sometimes they are taken in the dark or the pictures of the damage is taken sideways... I recently bought a car I thought would only need door replacements from the pictures but soon realized after the purchase that the pillar would need to be replaced.. for the comments as to not buy cars unseen great advice but I can almost guarantee most of the people who buy cars from this auction never seen the car in person.. my reason I’ve got a little one I can’t take in the yard so I rely on pictures. I’ve witnessed pictures taken from the passenger side now by doing this you won’t see the rips in the seat or the extremely dirty carpet.. So just take all of this into consideration when placing a bid... I also don’t like the fact that the pictures won’t show if a car has a check engine light on or not.. All these factors come into play when purchasing any car but the pictures these guys take definitely HIDE things... I thought you were gonna touch base on these kind of issues but still enjoyed the video very knowledgeable nonetheless. Keep em coming bro.

ISNT THERE A WEBSITE THAT SHOWS VEHICLE AUCTION HISTORY AND PREVIOUS PICTURES OF VEH REAL DAMAGES BEFORE BEING RELISTED ON AUCTION? I REMEMBER THERE WAS ONE BUT I BELIEVE IT WAS TAKEN DOWN. IT WAS GOOD BECAUSE YOU KNEW IF IT WAS A INSURANCE CAR OR A FLIP THAT YOU SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM

This is called life, i bet you can get more frequently scammed on the pre-owned market than on copart, as you keep buying and rebuilding cars you start to get more experience on the damages, the repair costs, the amount of work it will need, and how much you should bid on a certain vehicle, i have bought 5 different cars from copart all sight unseen and i have done wonderful, but you need to do a lot of research and have the will to work on cars to get the best deal possible, the most important advice i can give is that you should always bid according to the worst case scenario the vehicle could have (bad engine, bad transmission, bad frame, all this depending on the scenario), this way its impossible to take a loss cause you already calculated the worst that could happen, it's really easy, if you're interested in giving copart a try just do your first bidding on a cheap car so you familiarize with the process of buying a car, and if you do wrong you could move on without any worries ( even if you lose a couple hundreds the knowledge and the experience you get is way more valuable, hope this helps someone!

Scanners are not allowed at co part. They will kick you out when they find you with one.

co-part isn't the scam you should be saying scammers use co-part. co-part is just an auction that sells cars they don't own them. It's like saying eBay is a scam not it's scammers on eBay.

Bought a car from copart (Run and Drive) with minor back damage. Paid rediculously expensive fees. The car arrived with at least 7 engine codes, under carriage rust and samage, transmission problems, axle problems, and apparently had other collisions before.
