Poor Leonard, so focused on getting the cheerleader that he'll take anything from Penny. His best girlfriend was Dr Stephanie followed by Alice who he met in the comic book store and don't forget Alex who was Sheldon's assistant, she really liked him.

Every time they fight penny treats leonard like he did wrong where she is the one who was at fault. Even here what leonard did was saving up for emergency she is acting like he gambled the money.

I hate this so much about BBT. They always portrayed females in the right even if they were completely wrong. Here, Leanord was amazingly intelligent for saving money for emergencies. But Penny is acting as if Leanord did something wrong.

Similar was the Amy and Sheldon episode where Amy insulted Will Wheaton and Sheldon was forced to guilt into siding with Amy even though Will was right.

People said it's fiction but this happened in alot of marriages. The irresponsible spouse (the spender) always put the blame and the guilt on the responsible spouse (the saver)! They got mad because they thought they have spent all the money, but now they found out there is still some left. 😞 Being mad is a mechanism to make their spouse feel bad for doing the right thing.

It looks like this it is so stupid. It has been shown repeatedly in the show that Penny is not good with money.
How many times has Leonard bailed her out?!
These later seasons of Penny just really made her an asshole. I mean, she kind of already was, but she was likable beforehand.
But yeah, if she was not next-door to Leonard and Sheldon, she would’ve had to gone back to Nebraska years ago.
