Just going to say to anyone wanting to try this mix the lime in the water until it's dissolved before adding it to the eggs ✌️💚

We have eaten water glassed eggs 18 months later !! Still perfect !! Hint: if you end up with an egg with a line of lime stick to it don’t eat it it must’ve been cracked

I wanted to tell y'all that I did this for the first time last Feb. following your directions and just recently ate some of the eggs for breakfast 3 mornings in a row and hubby never suspected they were the ones I had waterglassed! They were delicious, and looked fresh like they had just be laid. I have shared your directions with a church friend.

This is my second fall doing this. I often give most of my eggs to people from church and I told them recently I won't have very many for a little while because I have to water glass some for the winter. They understood.
So far I have 8 dozen water glassed and I'm going to do eight more dozen.
We will still get eggs through the winter just not as many We have 30 hens and we'll probably get 5 to 7 eggs a day during the winter.
We normally get 12 to 15 eggs everyday.

This is definitely a labor of love. I don't blame you for doing multiple batches. I can't wait to see the follow up video. This looks beautiful & delicious ❤

I buy 2.5 gallon food grade buckets at Lowers for water glassing. Don't forget to date your containers

I do the egg test before using them. I take a clean glass of water that is much larger than the egg. I place the egg in Gently to not damage the shell and wait to see if the egg stays at the bottom or floats to the top. If the egg floats, it is no good. If it stays at the bottom, the egg is good. My grandma taught me this before I was school-age. Never had a bad egg.

What do you do with the leftover water once you use up all the eggs? Can you reuse it? Or should you start a new one with fresh ingredients?

I've done this once and found the egg shells were easy to crack as if they were thinner, after being in the liquid only 6 months. It may be the particular eggs I used. May try one more time

Hello. Thanks for video. Could you please tell me in measurements like, ml, kg. I don't understand. For example 500ml water with 2 tablespoons or 50gr of that lime powder. Please. Thank you

Do you have an issue with water evaporating since that jar doesn't have a seal?

What if the eggs are a bit dirty? How do you clean them and still keep bloom in tact? Or, is that even possible?

Do you check to see if you have any eggs that are floaters first and can the eggs be clean eggs from the store since I don’t have chickens?
