Our Morning Coffee Series proposes to take just ten minutes of your time, once a week to meet pioneers and leaders both familiar, sage, and longstanding, as well as new and innovative. Speakers will explore issues and topics crucial to the conversations we should be having.
This week's presenter:
DR. FANTA AW
Vice President of Campus Life and Inclusive Excellence
Dr. Aw is Vice President of Campus Life and Inclusive Excellence at American University in Washington, D.C, providing leadership for 15 departments in Campus Life. She has a PhD in Sociology with a concentration in social stratification and has spent 25 years in higher education administration.
Aw is responsible for leading, coordinating, monitoring, and assessing institutional work related to AU's Plan for Inclusive Excellence. She works collaboratively with the vice presidents, provost, and deans to ensure institutional strategic goals related to diversity, equity, and inclusion are met, including management of and responses to sensitive issues. As a member of the President’s Cabinet, she advises university leadership on matters related to campus issues of inclusion, diversity and equity, and student engagement.
