SRK is so close to YRF. He got his career biggest hit with YRF, established his legacy and came back every time whenever YRF was in a chaotic position, be it Mohabateein or Rab Ne. Salman has Ek Tha Tiger series with YRF, Aamir has Dhoom 3 & Thugs of Hindustan, which did better than SRK's movies box office (obviously there is an inflation factor, given the years those movies were released) but the YRF + SRK combination is emotion for lots of Indians. I'm not from India and I can see, and feel that as I've been used to Indian movies for 20 years. SRK too was crucial to YRF development, current example is Pathaan's success as it came after a series of flops of about 9-10 movies from the YRF production house. It was important for SRK too but SRK is a different breed. This sort of news that "SRK is finished" has surfaced in this intensity almost 4-5 times in the last 2 decades.

I was a kid when worked as a background dancer, and was elated when I worked on Rab Ne Bana De Jodi's title song, which we shot in Malshej ghats and Yash Raj studios. I like that I played a part in Yash Raj's legacy however small that may be.

He looked so much older and overweight and I was thinking about how fit he was in Mohabbatein but now I understand how losing his father and now his mother must have taken such a huge toll on him. I really find releasing of Rab ne bana di jodi just 2 weeks after 26/11 very ballsy... People were not even ready to come out of their home... But this film gave them a sense of relief... This film broke all records at that time but just fell short of few crores in completing 100cr nett in India and after this came Gajni which got the advantage of Rab ne working on box office and got already the film going audience... And it got first 100cr nett tag... But I still feel Rab ne deserved that tag first

Srk was offered ek tha tiger by adi chopra and he liked it alot but when yash chopra came with jab tak hai jaan he didn't give a damn about script or his desire to do an action film and just chose to be a part of a yash chopra film cuz yash chopra has always maintained that he will only make a film with SRK cuz he felt a connection as srk never asked for an acting fee.
