She’s trying way too hard to be Joanna Gaines. Marriage, new company, the renovation it all gives me younger chip & Joanna vibes but if they had no idea what they were doing.
And purity culture has really messed up a lot of young women, and that’s speaking from someone who grew up extremely religious.
Like if you “mess up/sin/give into temptation” whatever term used, or are with a less knowledgeable partner, or have no educated friends/people you trust to talk to and inform you, you can end up pregnant or with an STD. Solely because the only thing they teach is to not have sex until marriage. Not safe sex, not resources just no sex out of wed lock and misinterpreted scripture. And I feel so bad for the girls/ women who carry around shame. Sex is normal!

I’m not bothered by the fact that they got married, it’s the fact that they decided to have a whole wedding. Like you could’ve gotten married at least through paper and waited until the pandemic was over to have a big wedding. Safely.
