I’m so glad that JWST is living up to the hype, it’s an incredible piece of machinery and is a testament to human ingenuity.

I’ve been watching this channel for years and for some reason it occurred to me just now how much I’ve learned in these 10 or so minute distillations of cutting edge science. Maybe it was Anton’s nonchalant entreaty to “subscribe and stuff” to learn more. Anyway, thank you Anton! And to those new to the channel, “subscribe and stuff” so it will appear daily in your feed, IMHO you won’t regret it.

So much of youtube is computer generated voices, reading AI generated text, over AI generated images. "AI slop." I like live humans. I learn better from a live human, with a real face. Keep showing us your face, Anton, and we will keep coming back.

This is the ONLY channel on youtube I can feel confident just clicking like before the video even loads up.

JWST is just an amazing piece of human ingenuity and scientific wonderment. In its early lifetime, it has already expanded our understanding of the universe by volumes. The only records that it seems to break now are its own.

JWST is the Christmas gift that keeps giving.

The light from those red shift galaxies first emanated from them billions of years before this solar system even formed. Makes me wonder how many entire civilizations have come and gone that we will never know the existence of, in that same distance.

You are a primary source of intelligible hyper-constructive data that makes my orbits worth travelling. Stay wonderful.

"Subscribe and stuff" is the only phrase in recent time that made me want to subscribe (even if I was already)

We can see closer and closer to the beginning with JWST. Its successors will be even better. A wonderful time to be alive. We don't have nearly all the answers, but at least we know that we no longer need mythology and made up explanations for to explain the cosmos and its workings!

Thanks for educating us, Anton!

JWST thus far has been beyond expectations!

Here is a thought... What if we were to launch several similar versions of telescopes into the Lagrange orbit, sync them all to each other and basically increase the radius of the telescope effective dish size just like we do with other telescopes across the surface of the earth?

I believe you have explained in other videos how syncing distant telescopes increases effective radius (lens size)...

Thanks for keeping us going with all the science news. Your format is really great, I know I can come back any day and find out something interesting without a bunch of extra noise :)

Imagine how many billions of galaxies there are way beyond the furthest galaxy we can see, in the opposite direction from us 👽🛸

The only thing that lives up to its hype better than the James web telescope is Anton! He is a living legend!

Only 200m years - from the Big Bang, all the way to developed galaxies. That seems like a very, *very* short window. Color me skeptical until we get better data.
