You can now convert Captions to Essential Graphics (Text) in Premiere Pro!!

1. Highlight your captions
2. Go to "Graphics and Titles"-> Upgrade Caption to Graphic

With the newest version of Premiere you can actually transfer all the text from subtitle track to video track in less than a second by selecting the text u want to go to video track, then going Graphics and Titles > Upgrade Caption To Graphic.
If you want to animate it like poping in slightly, then animate one of the text video tracks, copy it and then select the rest of the text u also want animated, right click then select paste attributes and check the motion box only.

Hopefully you can save a lot of time with this.

You have just saved me HOURS of transcribing and listening to audio. Thank you a thousand times.

for the people who got adobe from the backdoor, auto transcribe doesn't work

You can also export the transcript subtitles as an SRT file, convert to Final Cut Pro / XML format, then import to Adobe Premiere Pro. It will import as its own sequence of a text track, with timing exactly the same as the subtitle track. Then you can just copy that track into your main sequence.

Thanks for the info! That is another layer of work but if I HAD to do it this is the way I would want to do it.

Very informative, btw to 2:46 to change Caption to Graphic you go to the "Graphic and Titles" -> Upgrade caption to Graphic, much less tedious.

In the latest version, instead of creating and extending the essential graphic text followed by cutting to match their corresponding subtitles on the track, there’s an easier way out. Select all the subtitle on their track and move to “Graphic and Titles” and choose “upgrade caption to graphic”

That is awesome. Ive always wondered how they did that and that looks super easy, just time consuming. Thanks for the tips.

I'm surprised I haven't know about this before, it has really motivated me to watch more content on Adobe shortcuts and tricks for my editing in the future, thank you.

Good info, and thanks for taking the time to put it all together. The swoosh sound effect gets old really fast though. It's more distracting than anything.
