Always adhere to safety protocols when at any type of workplace. For example, never block access to any emergency equipment and fire access doors, such as fire extinguishers and emergency exits with proper posted signage. ⚠️⚠️⚠️

Laziness is not the best way to describe that behaviour. It's best described as "Prioritizing efficiency over safety". After all, most people take shortcuts because they actively want to improve efficiency; this shows initiative, not "laziness".

You may think I'm crazy but I'm not a Millennial, yes some of this is helpful, if you do not have common sense, but most of this constant safety training has found it's way into the workplace like wildfire. I remember my first jobs out of High School, we had no safety training, I then went into the Navy for 20 years and yes we had safety training at times, then my first few jobs out of the Military we had no safety training and this was in the 90's. The job I have now, I have had for 25 years and we have to do the same old training twice a year on subjects like slips, trips and falls, or how to properly lift something, or box cutter safety and so on. I watch these videos and say people must be idiots if they do not know how to use a box cutter, you watch the video and it shows people holding up a box cutter and looking at it, turning it from side to side inspecting it, sitting it down properly, picking it up properly, give me a freaking break, who does this, if you did people would think there is something wrong with you, he must be one of those weird ones. Then properly lifting objects, if I did it the way the training shows, I would have been injured already, prepare yourself, approach the object, bend at the knees, grab the object then stand, walk like a robot, give me a freaking break. I have been lifting heavy objects in the workplace for 42 years and never once have I hurt my back, common sense is the key word, do I inspect a box cutter before I use it, NO!! just grab and cut no issues at all. I think all of this is because young people today have no common sense, they were not showed how to do things when they were growing up, I call it, old school Dad show your Son how to do this.
