This song to me is like a sentimental retro ballad and I feel it has an interesting angle for a love song. It’s kind of a “thing” for me to write song with a “wink.” There are so many different kinds of love songs one can write and so many perspectives one can take on any situation involving matters of the heart. For me, this song represents the calm after the storm. Every relationship has it’s struggles, it’s stormy weather. It’s all about how we navigate out of that and what kind of state of mind we find ourselves in, as a result of the challenges we have faced or persevered through. The way one expresses their experience can make for a great story within a piece of music, especially when you have a sense of humor about it from a perspective that people can relate to. I think most men can relate to the idea that at times their woman can go a little batty, even mad. Guys- we’re never angels either, but this song shines a humorous spotlight on this relatable dynamic and gives it a big hug. I hope it resonates for you :)
