Just because statistics show that school shootings are rare, it doesn’t necessarily mean schools are safe. Schools that are safer are those which take actions to prevent shootings as well as being prepared and have measures to reduce and limit harm when an active shooter situation occurs. Plane crashes are safe not because they happen infrequently but because every aspect of flight is meticulously inspected.

What??? We had no shootings in our schools. The very idea was inconceivable, far beyond nuts. Are shootings outside of school relevant at all? Is he taking that situation as normal?

An easy way to avoid a horrible event is to require the student receive a psychological assessment... this may require that they be placed in an institution where they can be evaluated 24×7.... before returning to class.
