I was once a victim of fake news 4 years ago regarding the Martial Law, I was only 15 years old that time and during that time, I'd often seen a lot of posts on Facebook that the Philippines was once a rich country during Marcos presidency, then I did believe it because you know I'm just a human and people can be an ignorant. Although, I started to become curious about what actually happened during the Martial Law because I'd also seen a few posts that those claimed weren't true, so I did a research and look for credible sources and I found out that the Philippines really was never rich as our country's GDP per capita back then in the 70s and 80s had never even reach at least 1k USD and as soon as I found that out I blamed myself for not knowing the truth behind it because I was also an apologist of Marcos and I did spread lies. Nevertheless, it was never too late for me to change my mind, so I voted for Leni and I was like before the election "I think my vote wouldn't be wasted if I went for Leni" and I'm proud of myself that I chose the right one. However, after seeing the result of election, I was so depressed that I couldn't stop my tears from falling and I was scared about the possibility of historical revisionism of Martial Law because the amount of people fell for the fake history are as twice bigger than the ones who know the truth.
