I miss this era in PC gaming, it was a time when most clients were very focused on specific tasks. You had team speak for voice chat. Xfire for messaging, and game tracking. Steam was a store and game library management service, and Windows was just a platform to run your own services and application's on, and not an all inclusive ad ridden bloated pile of rubbish it is today. the mid The feeling of taking a 10 mile motorcycle ride to my local 24 hour store spontaneously at, around 11pm buying a game with a can of coke, riding home to install it on my system running windows xp with a q6600, then binging the game all night with a few friends from around the world. They were some of the best gaming days of my life, no DLC, pay 2 win was still frowned upon and you got the full game. The 2000s was the golden age, of pc gaming, and i am glad to have been part of it.

Hard to believe 2011 was a whole decade ago. Things change so quickly. You had essentially the same setup as me with the core 2 duo E8400. I also played san andreas multiplayer, I was actually in a clan called [JOKER] in 2009. Man I feel old now.
