For your mud hole problem I would suggest some gravel with stepping stones running through it. That way it will create drainage but will still make it easier to walk barefoot across it.

Your husband is a gem, always working and seems so happy to help😊

I hope you don’t mind my suggestion. You bought beautiful hanging flowers. I just love them! If you could just lower them so they are not out of eyesight. You can do that by adding a simple chain to your nail or hook and then hook your hanging plant to the bottom link. That way your flowers will be easier to water and easier to admire! Also, when you have the budget for it, I would have two rugs on your large patio, one under the table and one in the center of your seating area. You did a great job on your patio! It sparkles!

I like that you didn't spend thousands of dollars to do a cute makeover. You put effort into maintaining the things you already have to make a cute set up.

We had an area like that at the edge of our patio. We put stone in the entire area and used 24” stepping stones off set from one another to create a path. Looked great and no more muddy paws!

I really like that you didn’t go out and buy a lot of new things, instead you just improved on what you had. Very satisfying, I’m sure!

Looks so pretty. A tip that I use every year, usually twice during the summer.... I get 2 bottles of Windex Glass and Patio cleaner early in the spring. Then when the weather is warm enough, I hook the bottle up to the hose and spray my whole back porch. Windows, cement, house walls etc.Let it set with the cleaner on for a few minutes and then give everything a good rinse. It does a great job on the windows, screens, window sills, patio furniture, cushions etc. etc. Then I have an extra bottle already on hand to do it again later in the summer.

Your little pupper following along after dad as he whipper-snipped the fence line was so cute - love the finished area

I would use a piece of chain to bring my flowers down a little so that I could see them better and make it easier to water them.

Also would sand rust off white chairs and paint them black to match your table and chairs.

I would put a thick layer of mulch. Put landscape fabric first. Later you could plans some perennials there.

Years ago I found out removing and storing the window screens in the winter made for easier cleaning and unobstructed views. In fact I ended up just using several for the whole house as they were just the ones I really used. It was wonderful getting rid of that cleaning problem.

You could always paint/spray paint those white chairs black to spruce them up.

So I read some of the comments before watching the video. Hahah. I just love your sweet family. I feel like that might sound weird but it’s so true. You are so funny and sweet and kind. Your husband has the patience of a saint, so helpful, he’s so kind too (also thinking of past videos of you guys). You two are goal relationship status. And you kids, so stinkin cute and sweet and kind too. I absolute love watching your videos. They make me happy and feel like I can be more productive during my day too. Thank you so much for sharing.
