"Oh Rowan Tree" is an ancient Scottish folk melody, music first attributed to Caroline Oliphant (1766-1845). The music is actually known to predate her, making its origins uncertain. In Scotland, the rowan tree is similar to the mountain ash tree, with rowan (red) berries that come on in late summer or early autumn.
The music has been used for at least one hymn also..."O Blessed Lord" (HON, 1987, no. 180)
Piano solo by Dave Goodlaxson

Decent on us like morning dew.
Forgive as we forgive O Lord.
