More magical than the Animal Kingdom in Disney World!

I stayed here 20 years ago. At the time, it was much more primative. It was a magical place for certain! The main shocking thing was the heat, humidity, and finally, how LOUD it was at night. This is really out there deep in the jungle and the wildlife at night is crazy loud. Mostly, its the bugs. Honestly, there are these "alarm clock" bugs that sound like a real electric alarm going off all night. You get used to it but if you are prone to noise when needing to sleep, bring ear plugs. Also, when I was there the rooms were not air conditioned and it was a veritable hell at first. I would soak my clothes in water, put them on just to cool off enough to fall asleep. Same thing in the daytime. Soaking your clothing in water and walking around was a great way to keep cool until you aclimated.
