We went to the place but you needed a reservation that was booked a month in advance so I recommend that . Or you can grab a number and hope they call you to eat. After 2 hours we never got called and decided to go eat somewhere else. Tokyo doesn’t really have many breakfast places. Everything pretty much opens at 11

I am a Jodo Shinshu Buddhist but I have never been to this cafe (although I've been to Tsukiji Hongwanji). This is definitely on my list. BTW. the main hall (Hondo) is usually open to the public.

You know I dont like vegetables, but I think the taste would be different there, so maybe when I go to Japan I will try some :)
Definitely that breakfast sounds heavy to me ( I only take oats and coffee)

I’m so sad every time I see temple foods that include animal products... Even the buddhist temples in Japan often don’t know how to make vegetarian/ vegan meals. It’s tough :( Some places do know though and make the most delicious shoujin ryouri ever <3
