Happy Transfer Tuesday!

Earn 1.0% higher than the stated APY for 3 months (currently will be 5.40%)

What is Transfer Tuesday?
It was coined by Mary from @PenniesNotPerfection and it's the day of the week where you move ANY amount of money to ANY of your financial goals (debt, savings, investments, sinking funds, etc.).

I tend to transfer money multiple times a week to my various goals, but I always make a transfer on Tuesday as well!

What's the point?
You will make quicker progress the more transfers you make (less interest paid on debt, more interest gained in your savings accounts, more money compounding in your investments). It also helps your money mindset because it feels good to make progress on a regular basis!

This quarter I have a goal to pay off my car. At the beginning of April I owed 15, 400$, as of today I owe $5, 959.42… well on my way to having this debt gone!

Just started a new Monthly Saver at 7%. I can save a max of £300pm. I also transferred some shopping points to money and put into a xmas saver for groceries. I rarely manage to do anything on a Tuesday so this feels really special. Rooting for you in your new endeavour!

Thank you Leila, you’ve inspired me so much on my financial journey through your persistence & consistency. I became debt free in March & so pleased to say I’ve reached my goal of opening a HYSA, which now has over 3k ! Next step is to reach 10k in savings by August 2024 & begin investing a small amount in a Roth IRA sometime in June !

I finally reached 10k in my HYSA for emergency fund. Starting my journey to fully fund Roth IRA and some in my after-tax brokerage starting next paycheck :)

Yay, we hit 27K subscribers, 2K away from 30K.
Congratulations on hitting this milestone and for quitting your job to do something you enjoy and love.

What do you do for medical and dental insurance being self-employed?

Congrats! 🎉
Quick question: are you rolling your 401k over into a rollover (traditional) IRA? 🤔

After paying down some debt, I've been able to increase my 401k contributions to my employer's full match! 😊
Still trucking along with debt payoff, but wanted to get every penny I work for. Leaving nothing on the table as they say. 😂

All money moves should be celebrated so congrats on the invested amount even as you transition to being self employed. I'm working on setting new goals since I finally achieved debt freedom last week. Haven't made money moves as making that payment of 50k has left me feeling nervous about spending. Although I know that I need not feel anxious as that money was saved specifically for that purpose and it hasn't hurt my progress in any way, I still can't shake the feeling that I need to move slowly now 🥴. Any tips on how to break that mindset? Love your content 💞

Random question but how did you know if your company contributions were vested before you left your job?

When you open your sep, will you invest in the same etf as your roth ira or change it up a bit?
