Portugal is in dead waters. The economy is in tatters there are barely any jobs there. On the other hand the taxes are extremely high. They are getting rid of the NHR scheme either this year or next year if I'm not wrong.

I have a polish colleague who stays in porto he said that the property market is completely saturated in big cities which are along the coast. The only option is to move inside towards the mountains which is not what I think most of the people signed up for when hunting for properties. Overall a programme that should be avoided netherlands is a much superior option imo with the 30% tax exemption ruling.
