I'm willing to concede that some of these allegations have some validity because Brand has been very open about his sex addiction. But being "inappropriate" is very different than forcing yourself on someone which I don't believe Brand would do or needed to do. He had enough willing partners that any accusation of force seems unlikely.

That said, if the most serious accusations are true then why did nobody go to the police? And if there are supposedly numerous women and accusations then how did non of this come out during the metoo movement? The timing of this seems highly suspicious.

I do not know what Brand did, or did not do, when he was suffering from addiction.

The guilt or innocence of Brand does not alter the truth of his statement.
The media, and the powers behind it, would rather distract the public with allegations against Brand, and have us argue that amongst ourselves, rather than address the ultimate truth of his statement, and hold corrupt governments accountable for their actions that led to Brand's initial statement.
Don't be part of the problem, people.

Despite his views on politics being the level of a 12 year old, he did for a while have some undeserved influence on the British public, with people like Paxman, who really should have known better, giving him airtime on programmes like Newsnight. However, he lost this influence a long time ago and no one of any significance cares what he thinks anymore. These allegations haven't emerged because of his political views, they're because a number of women feel his sexual behaviour was inappropriate.

The law is innocent until proven guilty. He hasn’t been charged with anything. Court of public opinion is a completely different thing. Typical misinformation
