Locksmith Course Online - The Intermediate (Locksmith Training Overview)

As with all our online Locksmith training courses, the Intermediate Locksmith Training Course is broken down into easy understandable sections, each section has a professionally filmed Locksmith training video, in these videos we will demonstrate:

- The different methods of entry for the different type of locks, you will learn how to Pick, Drill, Bump, Snap and Bypass the majority of different types of locks available today.

- We’ll also show you the hierarchy of entry methods, some methods are quicker and a lot more successful on different types of locks so you would normally start with these first.

During this online Locksmith training course you will learn how to open just about every common type of lock you will find on most domestic and commercial properties in the UK. These include Cylinder Locks, there are various types of Cylinders:

- You’ll learn how to open Rim Cylinders these are also known as ‘Yale Type Locks’ and are normally fitted to wooden external doors.

- We’ll teach you how to open a Euro Cylinder, these are now fitted to most UPVC and garage Doors.

- You’ll learn how to open a knobset lock, these are fitted to both internal and external doors.

- We’ll also teach you how to open both Oval and Scandinavian cylinders, these are similar to Euro cylinders but are a different shape.

- You’ll learn the quickest way to open a Roller shutter Bullet Lock.

- We’ll also teach you the most effective ways to open a padlock.

- You’ll also learn how to open Lever Locks, these include –

- Rim Locks, these are normally fitted on shed and outbuilding doors.

- 3 Lever Mortice Locks which are usually fitted to internal wooden doors.

- You will also learn how to open British Standard 5 Lever Mortice Locks which are normally fitted to external wooden doors

In addition to cylinder and Lever locks you will learn how to open Wafer Locks, these include:

- Cam Locks which are fitted on Post Box Locks, some Filing Cabinets, and some older garage doors.

We will also teach you how to use both three and five Lever Key Turners, these are used to open doors from the outside when the keys have been left in the lock on the inside.

Plus – We will also let you know which tools you will need to carry out all of these tasks, we will only advise you to purchase tools if you actually need them, we won’t advise you to buy any tools if they aren’t needed.

As with all our online Locksmith training courses you will have open access to our professionally filmed online Locksmith training videos, you can watch the video, try out your skills and then watch the video again if you need more help.

At the end of the section you will complete an online Locksmith assessment that will put your knowledge to the test. On completion you will be able to print off a certificate to prove your knowledge, this may help you obtain work as a Locksmith.
