"Why are you upset/startled? I only sent you a stiff animal corpse!!"

Even as a person into taxidermy, it’s a very very particular niche, and people being shocked by it is completely expected.

To be fair, if you aren’t into taxidermy then having a stuffed dead animal sent to you by a total stranger could come across a little threatening.

These camera angles make me feel like some tiny elf who's too tiny to have a chair at a table, so I have to walk around the table to conversate with everybody

I can’t imagine actually being offended because someone was caught of guard by an animal corpse I sent in a box without warning

I also kinda remember mark saying he if course appreciated every single thing that was sent to him back when he did these mail Monday videos but that a bigger reason as to why he stopped doing them is he felt too much of his viewers were spending their hard earned $ on him and wanted to keep attention to the charity live streams that he was doing VERY frequently at that time and wanted to focus on that more so, basically a damn gentleman 💜🖤

Listen, I get it's natural for people to want to share their interests with others, but sometimes you either have to accept that it may not be the most appropriate thing to gift someone who literally doesn't know you.. Or be ready to accept that they just might not be into something the way you are.

If you’re into oddities you have to understand they are odd. People who don’t like them will find them odd.

Honestly, it is also more dangerous now. Content creators back then wondered "what could go wrong?" and so did most of their followers. There was less hate-following back then, plus people seem to have gotten creative in bad ways. There are more people who actively want to shock the creator, either because they think it's funny or they think it will make them as a fan more memorable to the creator. They might clip it and parade it around as an accomplishment on their part, maybe even attempt to get 5 seconds of fame out of traumatizing someone with a big platform.

Also worth mentioning that people have gotten better at finding out how to buy dangerous items online, and how to ship them...

What a shame, it's sad that content creators have to take caution with opening fan mail when they reach a certain size of following.

Yeah as someone who is used to taxidermy, someone who isn't expecting it would be terrified. The person who sent it was probably hurt but shouldn't have been mad

I remember he used to do Markiplier Mail Monday videos. Now I know why he stopped doing them.

Maybe let’s not send taxidermied dead animals to people you’ve never met if you don’t know whether they like taxidermy or not. If you do, don’t be surprised if they’re shocked or caught off guard by it.

Is anyone else picturing Mark opening the box and an opossum popping out jack in the box style?

Insert the tons of Cheez-it boxes he got because he off hand mentioned he liked them

people don't realise that Spotifys youtube channel has a lot of shorts uploads that are podcast clips from sponsored creators
