I believe I have solved the mystery of the Volvo commercial! It goes like this...the mother of the bride is of course driving the Volvo, but it is not her son in the passenger seat, but rather a drunk young dude she was caught boinking with in the men's room during the wedding reception. The husband (the guy in the back seat), not pleased with his unfaithful wife's shenanigans escorts her and her new lover out of the reception at gunpoint to the Volvo waiting outside. A BRAND NEW Volvo no less, as he had just bought it for her 25th Anniversary gift. He makes her drive. His plan...to execute the two cheaters and toss their bodies off a rocky cliff into the ocean. On the ride, he contemplates chucking his wedding band out the car window in disgust, but thinks again and realizes he shouldn't leave any forensic evidence behind and besides, he can probably pawn it and at least get a little cash for it. As for the intimate moment the couple share regarding the music selection, that was simply a manipulative last ditch effort on her part to have her ruthless husband reconsider his plans for a double homicide. She knows she's screwed and gives him her final smile. LOL

I hope I haven't ruined the commercial for anyone!
