In my age, 30 years ago, everything was analog. The last time I ever used Sony's Beta Cam is big and heavy. But now only the palms are left.😂😅😊🎉❤

I already bought the camera and had my first shoot with it yesterday. It is a great device and it is a real pleasure to work with such a professional camera. Beautiful result and professional workflow during the shoot. I look forward to many years alongside this camera. Thank you Sony.

As the A7III is still an expensive and wonderful camera you should offer us the new color-profile for JPGs also an update - PLEASE 😘

Pre-Ordered it, still waiting on it - but really wish it could film in 3:2 or 4:3 full 4K, which it's capable of doing. Fujifilm and Panasonic allow it. Specifically Fuji do it using Sony sensors.

Most content filmed these days ends up on social media, which requires vertical format. It's so hard to from 16:9 framing, but 3:2 or 4:3 is a much easier compromise. I can get my full resolution 16:9 and crop in to vertical without the issues of 16:9/

I'm a professional broadcasting camera operator and on the side, I do personal hobby projects with your beautiful A7 cameras. As do many other people, both as hobby and for professional reasons. And of course you have your (semi)professional video cameras such as the PXW's, or the camera from this video, which are all absolutely fantastic.

But, even though the cameras themselves are amazing, they all share (in my opinion) the same problem. They all use your Sony E-mounts. Which on it's own isn't the problem, but your native Sony E-mount lenses is where the problems are.

There's currently only a handfull of Sony Power Zoom lenses, which to be honest don't have the focal reach that us videomakers need. They also lack features that could be handy, such as connecting zoom sticks or focus controllers, such as you can do with broadcasting lenses. Things that can really lower the workload on camera operators.

The thing I don't really understand is, why does Sony make (semi)professional video cameras that use the E mount system, but then not make (semi)professional video lenses for E-mount? We pretty much always result to E-mount photo lenses.

Is this something that Sony can do in the future? E-mount lenses created purely with video in mind. And if I can be so free, I'd like to ask for Sony to consider the following features in these video E mount lenses:
- Powered zoom and focus
- The ability to connect zoom and focus remotes to the lenses, such as you can do with broadcasting lenses
- Build-in stability, but video focussed. Meaning the stability is not trying to create a still image (which is great for photo but terrible for video), but just to remove shaking.
- More focal range, such as 10x and 20x zoom. Or if that would make the lenses too expensive, a broad range of lenses from wide angle to far tele like 400mm.
- A consumer friendly price. I know these lenses will be expensive, but they should be viable for consumer and lower budget professionals.

I know your E-mount cameras are being used more and more by content creators and video makers all over the world. But I think that once Sony would create these lenses which are made to make the lifes of videographers easier, that the use of your cameras for video reasons will skyrocket. Suddenly your cameras will be the best video solution for every lower budget videographer on the planet. It is something you should truly consider and which I hope you will.

Sony Cinema, thank you. Love my a6400 and lenses, this is the perfect upgrade for my shooting kit that keeps the portability of the smaller camera system, APS-C lenses I've already invested in but gives the power of the Cinema line of features. Thank you for giving users like me the chance to step up without breaking my budget!!! I 😍Sony !

Hello, Hello!!

I have one question: I just bought "Crane M3" and I really struggle to connect it with my FX30...😔 I downloaded the app, connected through bluetooth, open the app, BUT the record button in the app. is not working... as well I can't find the menu for the timelapse options, etcc....

I try to connect Crane M3 with the FX30 through the cable as well, but still no reaction. The "record" button on the gimble doesn't work ass well... Any advice

I saw that it's not in the compatible list too late, but I saw, as well, that some youtubers are advertising the gimble, like on of the best for FX30, how do they connect it?! I already wrote to some of them...

Maybe with the extension base with the bluetooth adapter?

All I want from a video camera is at least 500FPS continuous usable video at 1080p to 2k resolution with high bitrate and without crop and overheating issues 🙏🏻

I am glad you are enjoying yourself promoting this camera, however I am going to let your audience know how angry a growing number of current customers feel about this FX line:
For many years the Sony A7S (sensitivity) line was the camera for VIDEO centric shooters wile the A7R (resolution) is aimed at photographers and the A7 line caters towards hybrid shooters. The A7SII needed a successor badly and finally after 5 years the A7SIII was released in 2020 and myself as well as many other filmmakers bought this camera. However, just 4 months later out of nowhere you guys released the FX3 also for video shooters with the exact same sensor and exact sama processor and just because this camera falls under the FX line you guys have been treating the FX3 as the "true" camera for video shooters and releasing firmware updates to give it many additional software features while completely abandoning all the people who bought the A7SIII. In 2.5 years you guys released exactly ONE additional feature for the A7SIII in the form of the S-Cinetone profile and literally nothing else besides "stability" updates.
This is a camera that costs $3500. The many customers who wanted a video centric camera and already purchased the A7SIII now have to decide to either sell their superfluous cameras at a big loss just to get Sony's "true" consumer video camera for the same (body) price or continue to watch their A7SIIIs become more and more obsolete. I know you are focused on cranking out new bodies so I am not going to waste my time waiting on you treating your A7S customers right. I just hope your potential customers read this message to let them know about your record of customer abandonment.
