This is really an amazing documentary. It's never cheesey like the trailer makes it look sometimes, its incredibly sincere and i loved every minute of it

I watched "Boogie Nights" last night and I realized there was no mention of Dirk Digler recording at Sound City in the awesome Sound City documentary (thanks for creating another masterpiece, Mr. Grohl). Sadder yet, I can't get that stupid song out of my head..."Feel, feel, feel....feel my heat".

This. Looks. Awesome! Technology is cool but as they highlight, you can't replicate the chemistry and connection you do from jamming in a studio with a band! Lovers of music, creative spontaneity and musical craftsmanship will appreciate this coz if you don't, it's pretty redundant watching it! Cannot WAIT to see this! ps - Dave Grohl is a LEGEND! Fact! lol

Sound city was bare bones. Kind of run down. They had a Neve board which Dave Grohl bought and saved. A lot of great Rock albums were recorded there but Rock music is dead now so nobody cares.
