The drivers ( Riccardo Patrese) cars engine didn't start, so a mechanic named Dave Luckett ran to tried to restart it. His leg broke and got some scrathes. He actually continued as a mechanic. He passed away on June 12.2021, so he was 71 years old.

I was marathoning early 80s seasons during covid and it was shocking to stumble upon that race, F1 TV does not warn or anything. He did survive but it looks like he wouldve died from that if you see the raw footage. Luckiest mechanic in the world
