EEE is nothing to mess with. My uncle contracted it as a totally normal and healthy 3 year old in western WI in the mid-1950's. He nearly died (was even given last rights). Amazingly, he pulled through, but he suffered massive brain damage and had the cognitive function of a 2-3 year old, completely non-verbal, with PICA and various other neurological disorders, for the rest of his life. He lived in facilities and group homes for his entire adult life and passed away at 67. He was very much loved, but EEE absolutely robbed him of his life. Stay inside if there's any chance of EEE.
