There's no doubt that Ederson would have been absolutely gutted at the time his injury happened. I personally can't believe Ederson would have made the ultimatum stated as that would be a very low thing to do especially when Pep had continually stated Ederson is No1. As you say Sam Lee is quite well regarded but I don't really respect anyone writing for the athletic but that's just me. If Sam didn't know his story was factual he shouldn't be writing it. If it's not true it's his reputation on the line.

I hope Eddie stays, he's our number 1 and as he's on tour with Ortega we'd have heard already if there's issues between them.

As for Pep, i really hope he extends and think he will, if he's happy there's nowhere else better. We're going for 5 in a row (that's unprecedented and really unbelievable). But we're also going for the CL again and we'll be in all the cups including next year's club world cup, he'd luv to be the first manager to win that. I just don't see him giving it up yet, when this new team he's building is just getting started.
