Okay but this GENUINELY sounds like a good idea, Akin to many other horr games recently with that same loop of "Something is weird, But I need to do my job", And I fucking love those games.

The last meal you make in the game is you cooking up the last dead crewmate, leaving you as the last survivor and while the credits play you see your character eating the meal alone in the dining hall.

What I love is that there could be multiple monsters causing these bizarre occurrences and it could be like different levels of the game. Because the madness presented by your crewmates would be different if they were being driven mad by Cthulhu style squid monsters, or sirens with teeth sharper than knives and bewitching voices that request fresh meat of the crew, or even the potential of being the ship that carries a certain vampire across the sea to take up residency in the UK and picks off the crew one by one as sustenance of his own while leaving the others left alive to become more and more paranoid while requesting more and more fresh and juicy meat.

And while you know that there is no livestock aboard your ship, only a cat occasionally hovers in the background of your little kitchen area and catches mice and rats that nibble on your supplies, you keep finding that somehow, your personal cooking supplies never run out of fresh, juicy, red meat.

At the end, the monster(s) comes to kill you, but you have become so good with knives, pans, rollers, ext that you are now able to kill the monster(s).

the better/higher quality meal you make, the more the crewmates keep their sanity

There needs to be loads of different deaths/fails like:

● being too curious (when a player opens EVERYTHING not for the story just to find something and welp you'd find something that will end the game 😂)

● Not doing "optional" quest like fix a light or clean something up will lead to dangers when running and dark hiding places (not always a fail but will make game harder)

● Trying things too early (for those speedrunners and people who are repeating the game)

● Not cooking the right thing, you are a chef after all

● Exploring when you're needed elsewhere can lead to overhearing things that others may feel threatened by you knowing, be careful near the railing!

● Tasting certain dishes

● Not every noise need to be investigated

● Never look in the corner of your eye

● Watch out how you treat the helper boy

And so on, i wish i could help make games like this 😭🥲
