So my christmas gift right here. Never made espresso. Borrowed a china cup for whatever reason. Put Starbucks house in without a scale. Used hot water no clue about the temp. And I'll just say it smelled like cherry and have a rich robust fruit forward strawberry jam / cherry flavor. This was almost 1st espresso maker and now the only one I need. Never in my life has any ground and grewed coffee or espresso been this rich and flavorful. Thank you so much. I'm here after the fact as I want to learn to dial a shot in for comparison to the pressurized basket which IMHO is fantastic. Thank you Flair.

I'd love to know what temp the water was. No steam at all when pouring the water in. I have the Flex and I always preheat. Always.

"Cafe quality" and pressurised portafilter dont go together...

My pressure gauge is shyte. I can't even reach the "espresso" level unless the lever is lowered fast, so the brew time is shorter, and there is almost no "body" in the shot.
