As a Bengali, I had never watched Malayalam films before, though I had heard that Kerala films are good. I also knew about DQ from my friends from Kerala, but had never seen his films. But after the trailer of Karwaan came out, I binge watched almost all of Dulquer Salmaan's films in the past few weeks - Kali, ABCD, Kammatipadam, 5 Sundarika, NPCB, Ustaad Hotel, Theevram, Charlie, OK Kanmani, Solo, CIA, Bangalore Days...
He is one fabulous and versatile actor. And also one, who can pull off both simplicity n swag with elan. He can be very convincing as simple and nerdish(like in Njaan) and also very stylish and swagger(Charlie). If big Bollywood producers take notice of him and if he chooses quality scripts, I feel he can become a Bollywood star in the next few years. I know he is already quite a big star in his own state.
